Capturing 90’s alternative rock and roll in the modern day, Kavanagh’s new single ‘Citizen 202’ has just exploded onto the scene.
A dizzy and disorientating layering of heavy guitars and booming vocals make this a unique track that explores the hardships of humanity. With a music video filled with fire and crawling tarantulas, all in an angry red hue, ‘Citizen 202’ is an explosive 2 minute depiction of contemporary society from Kavanagh’s perspective. The perfect rock track.
Backed by Angus Wallace of The Prodigy and Sex Pistols acclaim, ‘Citizen 202’ also features the production skills of Mike Bennett (The Specials, Ian Brown, The Fall and Fat White Family).
With five members, Kavanagh was formed in 2016 and has since won two Battle of the Bands competitions. With much more planned for the year ahead, the band, now based in Brighton, are set to support Fat White Family when live gigging resumes with new releases soon to follow.
“An exciting band…watch out!”Mark Refoy of Spacemen 3
“Great band great tunes…going places”Simon Wolstencroft of The Fall
Keep an eye out for the upcoming movie ‘Vegan Vampires from Zorg’ as ‘Citizen 202’ may be making a special appearance…
